**Primary Location:** United States (US) - Iowa - Ankeny

As a ** ** **Material Storage & Retrieval**  employee ** ** with John Deere Des Moines Works in Ankeny, IA, you will:

Perform material storage & retrieval related duties in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork.  Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:

+ Operate power driven equipment such as forklifts and industrial trucks to move material, parts, and equipment.

+ Stock and pick raw materials to support production teams.

+ Read Bill of Material (B.O.M) to determine alternate uses and identify slow moving material.

+ Distribute and maintain inventory across production facility.

+ Read and comprehend work instructions and follow established procedures.

+ Assist and support other team members.

+ Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Must be at least 18 years of age.

+ Must have at least one of the following:

+ High School Diploma or G.E.D.

+ National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)

+ At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience

+ Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing of repetitive actions.

+ Ability and willingness to work 1st shift and potential overtime (including weekends).

+ At least 1 year or more of continuous material handling and/or warehouse work experience; including experience operating a forklift.
