    Overview

     

    This position is located in the Dept. of Family Medicine, Primary Care within Womack Army Medical Center. Located at Fort Bragg NC. Centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, residents enjoy a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities beautiful beaches and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.

    Responsibilities

    Supervisory Physician Family Practice will :

    + Performs diagnosis, treatment, and referral for a wide range of medical issues across all age groups, adhering to current standards and the patient-centered medical home model.

    + Leads a multidisciplinary team: Coordinates and integrates care across various healthcare elements and the patient's community.

    + Completes documentation and pursues professional development: Maintains accurate medical records and participates in CME and quality assurance activities.

    + Assigns work, provides technical oversight, manages performance, and addresses developmental needs of subordinate healthcare providers.

    + Manages a patient panel: Takes ownership and responsibility for the ongoing care of assigned patients, ensuring continuity and comprehensiveness.

    Qualifications

    US Citizenship required

     

    Board Certified

     

    Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy from a school in the United States or Canada approved by a recognized accrediting body in the year of the applicants graduation. [A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school that provided education and medical knowledge substantially equivalent to accredited schools in the United States may be demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) (or a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country).

     

    Candidates must have a permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
