Job Title: General Production Worker - Custom Cabinet Manufacturer

Job Description

Join a leading manufacturer of custom cabinets where you will start in the trim department and have the opportunity to advance through various departments. This role offers a dynamic workday as you spend time in four different departments, gaining experience and skills that pave the way for promotions.

Responsibilities

+ Follow job instructions and inspect your work process carefully.

+ Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, adhering to safety regulations.

+ Perform edge sanding using orbital sanders on doors and headers.

+ Inspect loose components and perform necessary repairs.

+ Catch panels off the panel sander.

+ Hang components onto a paint line.

+ Install hinges onto doors.

+ Measure components, correspond order forms with products, and install shelves, roll tray tracks, and inner components.

+ Screw in roll tray tracks, hang doors, and install drawers.

+ Package finished cabinets into cardboard boxes.

+ Quickly remove stain from the front and back of each component by going with the grain of the wood.

+ Remove excess glaze on the face of each component, allowing glaze to remain in natural areas of the doors.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

+ Ability to measure accurately with a tape measure.

+ Experience in production, carpentry, and cabinetry.

+ Manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 6 months of previous work experience.

+ Ability to lift 30 lbs.

+ Pass the tape measure test.

+ Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and keep up with training.

Work Environment

Work in a large manufacturing facility with approximately 300 employees. The environment can be loud in certain areas, but safety glasses and ear buds are provided. The standard work hours are from 7am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The dress code requires closed-toed shoes and non-offensive clothing.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Harrisburg, South Dakota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
