Job Title: Quality Technician Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by reviewing engineering packets, developing process control plans, and interacting with external customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

+ Review and approve engineering packets for new orders as part of cross-functional review.

+ Develop Process Control Plans and PFMEA’s as required.

+ Interact with external customers and suppliers regarding product nonconformances and conduct failure analysis when necessary.

+ Initiate internal and external Corrective Actions (CAR’s/SCAR’s) as needed.

+ Supervise incoming and first article inspection areas and generate customer PPAP reports.

+ Determine sampling plans, forms, and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability trend data.

+ Maintain the Calibration program, ensuring tooling and equipment are scheduled for calibration at defined intervals, and maintain calibration records.

+ Manage the Quality and Inspection Team to meet customer expectations.

+ Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in inspection, quality control, and process improvement.

+ Proficient in quality checks, quality assurance, and quality engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to run quality on the production floor and ensure quality in products.

Work Environment

This role is within the quality engineering department. The position involves collaboration with a supportive team and reports to a colleague who has been with the company for three years. The company offers a smaller, close-knit environment that is great to work for.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wausau, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
