Job Title: Power Electronics Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Power Electronics Controls Engineer to design control loops for bidirectional AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion hardware. Join a dynamic team working on cutting-edge home energy innovation.

Responsibilities

+ Design control loops for bidirectional AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion hardware.

+ Develop complex products as a power electronics controls engineer for North American grid-tied applications.

+ Create digital control systems for grid-tied inverters, rectifiers, and DC/DC converters using microcontroller platforms.

+ Apply modeling and simulation-aided analysis for control loop design using tools such as PLECS.

+ Ensure compliance with V2G and G2V related regulations in North America concerning grid interactive power converters.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.

+ 10+ years of experience in power electronics controls engineering or a related role.

+ Bidirectional inverter design experience for North American grid-tied applications.

+ Strong understanding of power converter theory and design.

+ Experience developing digital control systems for grid-tied inverters, rectifiers, and DC/DC converters using microcontroller platforms.

+ Working knowledge of V2G and G2V regulations in North America.

+ Proficiency in using PLECS for modeling and simulation-aided analysis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Firmware development experience.

+ Advanced skills in power design.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Littleton, Colorado.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $85.00/hr.
