Job Title: Controls Technician
Job Description
An experienced Controls Engineer/Technician is needed to join a dynamic team and work alongside a Senior Controls Engineer. This role involves supporting various projects, focusing on PLC programming (RsLogix500 and 5000) and robotic (Fanuc) teaching/programming. This is a contract position with an indefinite timeline, projected for the next 12 - 24 months. The primary location is onsite in Columbus, IN, with some domestic travel required.
Responsibilities
+ Design electrical control systems.
+ Modify and program PLCs.
+ Travel to company sites for integration and installation of control systems.
+ Identify and suggest electrical motors and power supply needs.
+ Work within Ethernet communications such as DeviceNet, Profinet, and Profibus.
+ Integrate safety PLCs and safe I/O.
+ Understand OSHA requirements and safety standards.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in Controls Engineering or Technician roles in manufacturing.
+ Knowledge of robotic programming and pendant teaching.
+ Experience with robotic engineering analysis, pneumatics, and automation.
+ Proficiency in robotics troubleshooting and PLC programming.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Fanuc robots and robotic systems.
+ Knowledge of Rockwell control systems.
+ Experience with robotic welding and system programming.
Work Environment
The work environment is a climate-controlled assembly facility located in Columbus, IN. The position requires travel to domestic and international sister facilities as needed. The role is primarily a 1st shift position, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime. While traveling, weekend work may be expected.

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $50.00/hr.
