Job Description
+ We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant with a strong experience in surgery scheduling and administrative duties to join our team. This role involves scheduling patient tests, procedures, and hospital admissions, as well as managing appointments for follow-up on test results. The position requires answering phone calls for referrals and performing various administrative tasks, including typing, filing, faxing, and reception duties. Flexibility to assist in clinical areas as needed is essential.
Responsibilities

+ Perform administrative duties such as typing, filing, faxing, and reception.
+ Assist in clinical areas if required.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in medical assisting.
+ Expertise in appointment scheduling.
+ Strong insurance verification skills.
+ Medical Assistant Certification.
+ Knowledge in OBGYN, urology, and surgery.
+ Experience in surgery scheduling.
+ Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically Athena.
+ Understanding of medical terminology.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 3 years of Front Office medical assistant experience in OBGYN, Urology, or surgery.
+ Insurance verification is a must.
+ Surgery scheduling experience is a plus.
+ Bilingual in Spanish.
Work Environment
The role operates in a professional medical environment, working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
