    Front Desk Lead – Healthcare Office

     

    Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with a 1-hour lunch). Occasional early shift at 7:00 AM may be required for coverage.

     

    Join a well-respected healthcare client in the Quad Cities as a Front Desk Lead. This position plays a vital role in maintaining accuracy and efficiency in scheduling, insurance verification, and medical billing while providing oversight and guidance to the front desk team.     Key Responsibilities:

    + Ensure scheduling accuracy and compliance with provider parameters.

    + Complete insurance verification and eligibility checks prior to patient appointments.

    + Manage appointment scheduling and rescheduling as needed.

    + Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure proper front desk coverage.

    + Provide hands-on support to the scheduling department during high-volume periods.

    + Coach and support staff by addressing errors, providing feedback, and fostering accountability.

    + Assist with medical billing tasks, including claim submission, payment posting, and following up on outstanding balances.

    Requirements

    Qualifications & Attributes:

    + Quick learner with exceptional attention to detail.

    + Prior healthcare or insurance knowledge strongly preferred (copays, deductibles, eligibility, and verification).

    + Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to spot and correct errors.

    + Effective communicator, comfortable with coaching and guiding team members.

    + Previous leadership experience is a plus, though not required.

    + Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a busy clinic setting.

    + Familiarity with medical billing systems and terminology is a plus.
