Job Title: Electrical Engineer Job Description
We are seeking mid- to senior -level Electrical Engineers to join our team and support projects within the Oil & Gas or Power Generation sectors. You will be aligned to one of these industries based on your experience and project needs. In this role, you will design and analyze electrical systems for industrial facilities, including substations, switchgear, motor control centers, and instrumentation systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions for both greenfield and brownfield projects.
Responsibilities
+ Design and specify electrical systems including power distribution, grounding, and lighting.
+ Perform load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and protective device coordination studies.
+ Develop electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
+ Review vendor submittals and coordinate with procurement and construction teams.
+ Conduct site visits and provide field engineering support.
+ Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
+ Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project planning and execution.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in the Oil & Gas or Power Generation sectors.
+ Proficiency in Electrical system design (MV/LV power distribution, grounding, lighting).
+ Experience with NEC, IEEE, API, and/or NESC standards.
+ Proficiency in ETAP, SKM, or similar power system analysis tools.
+ Familiarity with instrumentation, controls, and industrial electrical systems.
+ Strong technical writing and communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
+ PE license required (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
+ 6–15 years of experience in either O&G, power generation, or heavy industrial sectors.
+ Experience with industrial instrumentation and control systems.
+ Familiarity with 3D modeling tools (AutoCAD Electrical, SmartPlant, Revit) is a plus.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Work Environment
Our work environment offers a hybrid work model with flexibility for remote and in-office collaboration, primarily on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. You will work in project-based teams with cross-disciplinary coordination and have opportunities for site visits and field engineering support. Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Englewood, Colorado.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $205000.00/yr.
