    Division Overview – ITW Specialty Films

     

    ITW Specialty Films manufactures and markets coated and metallized films used in Financial Cards, Secure ID, Medical Bags, Laminations, and Holographics. Operating from eight locations across North America and Europe, the division leverages deep technical expertise to meet specialized customer needs.

    Position Summary

    The Materials Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of material sourcing, planning, and inventory management to ensure reliable support for production and customer demand. This role requires balancing day-to-day execution with long-term strategic planning, while driving safety, quality, and efficiency across the facility.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Materials Purchasing & Planning

     

    The manager leads purchasing and planning activities to secure raw materials and packaging with reliability and cost-effectiveness. Accountability includes maintaining the right balance of inventory to meet production schedules without excess or shortage. Drive inventory accuracy and on-time delivery through the application of ITW’s 80/20 business process and in-lining methodology.

     

    Strategic Sourcing & Continuous Improvement

     

    The manager is responsible for continuously delivering on improvements in cost, efficiency and reliability year over year in our supply base. Partner cross-functionally with operations, quality, and supply chain to ensure materials management supports both daily execution and long-range planning goals, including activities such as developing an 80/20 sourcing strategy, implementing stocking agreements, identifying dual sourcing opportunities, developing supplier auditing process, etc.

     

    Warehouse Operations & Logistics

     

    The role directs inbound and outbound material flow, coordinating receiving, storage, and distribution to support production efficiency and customer delivery performance. Compliance with safety, environmental, and hazmat requirements is expected at all times. Lead and manage the materials team to meet business goals and customer expectations by simplifying processes and eliminating waste. The manager ensures warehouse standards, housekeeping, and safety practices are reinforced daily.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

    + Proficient in supply chain and inventory management systems and key metrics

    + Expertise in visual inventory management

    + Experience completing purchasing and planning functions in ERP systems

    + Proven record of strong analytical and communication skills

    + Able to effectively drive cross-group collaboration and cooperation, using effective communication, project management, and organizational skills

    + Proven communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels

    + Ability to display innovative thinking skills and excellent problem-solving skills

    + Understanding of basic business financials

    + Knowledge of continuous improvement manufacturing concepts or projects based on the 80/20 principle is a plus

    FLSA Status

    + This is a Full-Time Exempt position

    Compensation Information:

    Pay Range

    + Salary $90,000 - $115,000 per yr.
