    Mainframe Developer

    Compensation: 180k

     

    Contractor Work Model: Onsite

     

    ALTA IT Services is seeking a highly experienced Z/OS Mainframe Developer with deep expertise in Assembler, COBOL, and CICS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services systems and thrive in an Agile development environment.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Minimum 10 years of experience in:

    + COBOL

    + DB2

    + Command-Level CICS

    + JCL

    + Batch processing

    + TSO/ISPF

    + Extensive hands-on experience with Assembler, COBOL, and CICS in a Z/OS Mainframe environment

    + Strong coding skills with proven adherence to development standards

    + Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies

    + Experience with FIS OPF (Open Payments Framework) for ACH processing

    + FIS Connex experience is a plus, but not require

    Responsibilities:

    + Analyze, define, and document technical designs

    + Design and develop new applications and integrate enhancements

    + Maintain and monitor systems post-deployment

    + Prepare test data, conduct testing, and debug code

    + Troubleshoot and resolve application issues

    + Conduct research and provide technical recommendations

    + Participate in full-cycle application development

    Preferred Skills:

    + Experience with Serena ChangeMan ZMF

    + Development experience with IBM Mainframe Assembly language and Concept 14 macros

    + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

    + Effective verbal and written communication

    + Ability to manage conflicting priorities and adapt to changing requirements
