    Responsibilities

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Follow all Company policies.

    + Adhere to Attendance guidelines.

    + Must be able to work overtime when required.

    + Responsible for operating the forklift in a safe manner at all times.

    + Performs Lift Truck Inspection check before using forklift each shift.

    + Follow all safety guidelines/policies, proper use of equipment, etc.

    + Pick orders – (pulling finished product from warehouse to fill orders).

    + Stage orders to be loaded.

    + Loading completed orders.

    + Understanding of shipping/loading requirements, weight requirements, customers’ special instructions.

    + Warehousing (moving product to maximize usage of warehouse space)

    + Perform cycle counts – to verify item quantities on hand.

    + Moving finished goods from production holding area to the warehouse.

    + Repackaging damaged materials as needed.

    + Efficient use of time to maximize pounds/work hours.

    + Learn how to use the many functions of dc-LINK Data Collection .

    + Maintains proper housekeeping while performing duties.

    + Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + High school diploma or GED equivalent.

    + Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to read and write to complete required forms and verify quality products are produced.

    + Must have good vision, eye-hand coordination, and hearing.

    + Ability to adhere to Berry’s Safety, Health, and Environmental Vision, Policy, and Standards.

    + Ability to work with minimum supervision.

    + Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, days, or nights for 12 or more hours.

    + Ability to stand, sit, kneel, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and crawl for extended periods multiple times per day.

    + Ability to lift up to 60 pounds unassisted.

    + Must have manual dexterity involving total wrist action, twisting, pulling, and raising arms at or above shoulder height.

    + Ability to work in warm, humid, and cool climates for 12 or more hours per day or night.

    + Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes safety glasses, safety goggles, hearing protection, steel toe shoes/boots, face shield, gloves, and face mask.

    + Ability to operate a forklift and maintain a forklift operator license; ability to mount and dismount forklift unassistedmultiple times per shift.
