Start Date: ASAP – Within 2 weeks of offer

Duration: 13-week contract to start with high likelihood of ext

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (No weekends required)

Pay Rate: $20–$22/hour

About the Role

Cooperative Elder Services is seeking a compassionate and energetic Program Aide to support our adult day health program. This role is ideal for someone with direct care experience who enjoys engaging older adults in meaningful activities and providing hands-on support in a community setting.

Key ResponsibilitiesPlan & Coordinate Activities:

+ Collaborate with staff to design and organize engaging, person-centered activities such as arts and crafts, music, community outings, and life skills workshops.

Support Participation:

+ Assist with setup, guide participants through activities, and encourage involvement in both group and individual settings.

Maintain Schedules & Documentation:

+ Update activity calendars, track attendance, and communicate updates to the interdisciplinary team.

Assist with Daily Living Tasks:

+ Provide light ADL support (e.g., bathroom assistance), help serve lunch, and ensure a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications Experience:

+ Direct care experience required

+ Experience working with elderly populations

+ Background in group homes or day habilitation settings preferred

+ Activity planning or facilitation experience a plus

Skills:

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills

+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Requirements:

+ Reliable transportation

+ Current BLS certification
