Salary: $3407 / Week

The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The PMH RN works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing

+ Current CPR if applicable

+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Nurse Supervisor to join our psychiatric unit in Visalia, CA. This night-shift leadership role supports clinical operations and staff oversight, ensuring high-quality, holistic care for patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide clinical supervision and support to nursing staff during night shifts

Ensure patient safety and adherence to care protocols

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs

Assist with staff development and training

Maintain accurate documentation and support regulatory compliance

Note: This role does not include direct responsibility for hiring, firing, financials, or peer review.

Required Qualifications:

Active California Registered Nurse (CA RN) license

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification – can be completed on site

Minimum 3 years of acute psychiatric nursing experience

At least 1 year of management or supervisory experience
