Duties include:

+ Active role in deconstructing electronic components

+ Translate hands on experience to find technological solutions to improve processes and procedures

+ Support development by designing fixtures, software, and/or non-traditional techniques

+ Make technical decisions based on skills and training in the use of test equipment and associated systems

+ Notify and discuss technical problems with engineering personnel, contractors, or other government representatives as necessary

Minimum Requirements:

+ Vocational/technical training beyond high school in electronics or related field

+ 0-1 year of experience working with electronics components

+ Hands-on experience with handling and testing small parts, such as microelectronics

+ Knowledge of electronic components and device operating characteristics

+ Prior experience with Ionizing radiation safety and handling per DOD guidelines.

+ Understanding and utilization of laboratory safety practices, including chemical safety

+ Ability to engage on a multidisciplinary team of technicians, scientists, and engineers

+ Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

+ Strong written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

+ Ability to identify and support opportunities for process improvements through fixture design and integrating new techniques

+ US Citizenship and the ability to pass and maintain a DoD Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 2- or 4-year degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or Electronics Technology

+ 2-3 years of experience working with electronics components

+ Active Secret Clearance

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

+ Experience in laboratory environments, including operation of microscopes and other analytical equipment

+ Basic knowledge of microelectronic construction and materials
