Harborview - Food and Nutrition** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Food Service Worker Lead.
WORK SCHEDULE
+ Part time, 60% FTE (24 hours per week)
+ Sunday 3pm-11:30pm, Monday/Tuesday 11pm-7:30am (overnight shift)
+ Day Shift

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
+ The Food Service Worker 2 is part of the multi-disciplinary team providing food service to Harborview’s retail customers. Within this role, they perform advanced Food Service Worker duties such as leading Food Service Worker 1s or independently operating a remote food service area such as the coffee bar. They may also function as an assistant to cooks or bakers.
+ Independently operate a remote food service area / espresso bar
+ Performs routine work in preparing and serving espresso beverages and food items and cleaning activities
+ Performs a variety of duties in the preparation and service of espresso beverages and food items
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Provides excellent, respectful customer service to a diverse customer base, in a medical setting.
+ Train new or unskilled employees in the preparation and service of espresso beverages and food items; cleaning and stocking duties and departmental procedures.
+ Operate all espresso and/or food service equipment and machinery.
+ Prepare and serve food items. Stock supplies necessary for preparation and service of beverages and food items. Display food and espresso items in attractive manner.
+ Operate cash register. Handle cash, check and charge payments for beverage and food items in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
+ Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment AND one year of experience preparing and serving food and beverage.
+ Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
