ATC is a leading electric transmission utility, and we’re looking for passionate students to join our Environmental team. As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in field biology, ecological monitoring, and environmental stewardship—while contributing to the future of energy.
Essential Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct field surveys to identify and monitor endangered and threatened butterfly and other pollinator species in transmission line corridors (80–90% of time)
• Support environmental review and permitting processes with biological data and field observations (5–10%)
• Perform data entry and reporting for ecological fieldwork, including GIS mapping and online documentation (5–10%)
• Collaborate with utility industry professionals and environmental consultants through project work and networking
• Contribute to the energy transition by supporting sustainable vegetation management practices
What You’ll Bring
You’re a student working toward a bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas (or a related field):

• Ecology
• Environmental Science
• Conservation
• Natural Resources
• Or related environmental fields
You’re curious, detail-oriented, and passionate about conservation and sustainability. You enjoy working outdoors, collecting data, and contributing to environmental solutions that align with the needs of energy infrastructure.
