The Outpatient Pharmacy department at Hawai‘i Pacific Health is committed to ensuring our patients receive the highest quality care and service. We are responsible for compounding and dispensing medications and supplies, as well as providing drug information and education. We strive to ensure our patients remain healthy by providing convenient access to safe and effective medication and offering expert advice. Our department partners with providers and other health care personnel in the hospitals and clinics to create a healthier Hawai‘i.
As the Buyer, Outpatient – Pharmacy, you are responsible for purchasing and maintaining adequate inventory levels to ensure medication and supply availability in outpatient pharmacies and the specialty pharmacy. You will coordinate annual physical inventory and ensure minimum stock levels to meet the needs of patients. You will also ensure pharmacy processes are completed in a timely manner and perform day-to-day functions related to reconciliation of outpatient and specialty pharmacy claims.

**Minimum Qualifications:** High school or equivalent. One (1) year of pharmacy purchasing AND one (1) year of pharmacy technician experience OR three (3) years of pharmacy technician experience in a healthcare setting.
**Preferred Qualifications:** Associate’s Degree in biology, chemistry, or related field. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). One (1) year experience in patient accounting or pharmacy billing. Inventory management experience.
