    Job Overview

     

    Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a Radiologic Technologist to work at our Fairview Sports and Orthopedics Clinic in Blaine, MN! This position will include a new hire sign on bonus of up to $7,800! This is a .78 FTE (63 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work the following schedule:

     

    Monday- 9a-6p

     

    Tuesday- 7:30a-3:30p

     

    Wednesday- 7:30a-3:30p

     

    Thursday- 7:30a-3:30p

     

    Weekend Requirement- 8a-12p once every 4-6 weeks

     

    The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians in a Sports Medicine and Orthopedic setting through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes

    + Demonstrate appropriate sterile and aseptic technique

    + Identifies relevant data from images accurately

    + Communicates effectively

    + Creates a culture of patient safety

    + Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness

    + Verify patient identification and documentation

    + Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam

    + Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures

    + Ensures patient data integrity

    + Adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures

    + Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes

    + Follows infection control guidelines

    + Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members

    + Responds to emergent situations

    + Acts as a resource for problem-solving resolution

    + Participates as an active team member

    + Collaborates with providers and team members

    + Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives

    + Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position

    + Cleans and maintains room and supplies

    + Provides integrated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality care

    + Contributes to a positive work environment

    + Correctly operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines

    + Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working properly.

    + Accepts new technology as it’s introduced into the facility

    + Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations

    Required Qualifications

    + Technical Certificate in Radiology or Associated Degree in Radiology

    + American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

    + Basic Life Support (BLS)
