Job Description:

+ We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Production Planner to manage and optimize production schedules across multiple product groups.

+ The ideal candidate will have experience working within an MRP/ERP system—preferably SAP—and strong proficiency in Excel.

+ This role requires daily collaboration with purchasing, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure timely production and delivery, while proactively managing any delays or issues.

Responsibilities:

+ Manage and maintain production schedules for multiple manufacturing areas and product groups, ensuring optimal workflow and resource allocation.

+ Collaborate closely with the Purchasing team to understand and incorporate material lead times into production plans.

+ Coordinate with the Warehouse team to schedule and execute material picking aligned with production jobs.

+ Monitor production progress and notify customers promptly about any delays or changes affecting delivery schedules.

+ Update and manage delivery dates accurately within the SAP system.

+ Use case queues and other communication tools to track and relay job statuses related to special customer requests.

+ Lead and facilitate production meetings to align internal teams on customer requirements, production status, and scheduling priorities.

+ Apply strong planning skills in a manufacturing environment to balance demand and capacity.

+ Utilize and maintain ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent platforms to support planning and production activities.

+ Analyze data daily to identify bottlenecks, forecast potential delays, and suggest process improvements.

Experience:

+ Proven experience working within an MRP/ERP system; SAP experience preferred but not mandatory.

+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).

+ Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, applied regularly in day-to-day tasks.

+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple production schedules and priorities simultaneously.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working cross-functionally.

+ Previous planning or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.

+ Ability to lead meetings and present production status updates effectively.

+ Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Skills:

+ Experience with SAP, Oracle, or comparable ERP/MRP systems.

+ Familiarity with warehouse operations and purchasing processes.

+ Understanding of manufacturing workflows and constraints.

Education:

+ Associate degree
