    Duties: Create architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms. Collect and document the user functional requirements and the development of user stories and estimates into technology solutions for product features, in collaboration with Product Owner. Provide technical design, software development, perform implementation planning and deployment, and maintenance of application systems. Responsible for front-end and back-end development, with the understanding how APIs integrate with UI components. Provide peer reviews of solution designs and related code. Investigate and resolve production application incidents, problems and service requests. Prioritize workload and align with Product owner to deliver remediation for incidents and service requests. Identify and implement operating efficiency solutions for specific product features. Assist in upgrading or patching applications/platforms as needed. Gain awareness of trends and issues in area of technical expertise, potential new technologies or technology opportunities to champion for the stakeholder.

     

    Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a similar role performing IT technical duties. Must also possess the following (quantitative experience not applicable to this section): Full Stack Development to help with front and backend web development; SAFe/Agile practices to implement Agile practices across project teams; Application Design/Architecture to create scalable, maintainable and robust systems; C# and JavaScript for developing robust, maintainable and efficient applications; Secure Design and Coding Practices to effectively create, update and maintain the code behind the applications; Database Development Tools like SQL Developer, My SQL, Azure DevOps and Git; and, designing, developing and maintaining RESTful APIs to ensure performance, scalability and security.

     

    Work Arrangement: hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days remote.

    The wage range for applicants for this position is $134,018.00 to $146,900.00 per year. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. MetLife offers a comprehensive benefits program, including healthcare benefits, life insurance, retirement benefits, parental leave, legal plan services and paid time off. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
