Job Summary and Qualifications
The Supervisor of Rehab Services assists the Director with the management, supervision, direction, and scheduling of employees and patient care activities within the Rehabilitation Department. Under the direction of the department Director, the Rehab Supervisor will assist with the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, help assure the appropriate care and discharge of patients, and participate in the department’s continuous quality improvement program.
+ You will assist the Director in the preparation and monitoring of operational and capital budget within defined parameters, as well as assist the Director with the development of rehabilitation services policies and procedures.
+ You will assure departmental compliance with JCAHO, Department of Health Services and other regulatory agencies, and assure quality of care by assisting with developing and monitoring standards.
+ You will communicate and interpret current patient care standards, organizational goals, and health care finance issues to the staff and medical staff as assigned.
+ You will establish and maintain communication with Medical Staff, community, and all levels of staff intra and interdepartmentally.
+ You will participate with the hiring, coaching, discipline, and performance appraisal process and be responsible for staff scheduling to ensure coverage and met hospital productivity standards.
What qualifications you will need:
+ Current and active California License as (OT) Occupational Therapist, or (PT) Licensed Physical Therapist, or (SLP) Speech-Language Pathologist required
+ Current and active Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required
+ Bachelors Degree required
+ Minimum of 3 years experience in rehabilitation, including acute hospital setting.
+ Progressive managerial experience or program development preferred
Riverside Community Hospital is a large acute care facility with 517 beds, established in 1901. It has the most extensive Emergency Room and Level I Trauma Center in the Inland Empire region and is the primary recipient of STEMI (heart attack) cases in Riverside County. The hospital is accredited as a Chest Pain Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center and has a HeartCare Institute that offers both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures. Riverside has a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which it is very proud of.
