    Position Summary: Physical Therapy Aide Methuen Part-time 20-hours Monday through Friday

    Job Summary:

    A Physical Therapy Aide supports physical therapists in delivering patient care and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment. They assist with non-clinical tasks such as preparing treatment areas, transporting patients, cleaning equipment, and managing supplies.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Appropriately prepares patients’ room for treatment with proper set-up, linen and devices for ambulation.

    + Accurately performs patient care activities as directed and supervised by a licensed physical therapist, occupational therapist or physical therapy assistant.

    + Cleans, disinfects and maintains equipment and treatment areas according to infection control and safety policies.

    + Follows standards of universal precautions and uses appropriate personal protection equipment.

    + Orders equipment and supplies in a timely manner to maintain minimum supply levels, maintains accurate records of purchase.

    + Consistently and promptly communicate to the supervisor or appropriate therapist any patient or non-patient issues.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Education: High School graduate or equivalent.

    + Experience: Previous experience as a PT Aide desired. Direct patient contact in a healthcare setting preferred.

    + Licensure/Certification: BLS required.
