    Responsibilities

    As our Surgical Technician II at the CHI Woodlands Hospital, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiative and Dignity Health, you’ll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We can’t operate without you.

     

    The operating room (OR) runs as a team, every person on the team has an important role that has a direct impact on the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process.

     

    + Assist surgical team in the scrubbing role and report any breaks in aseptic technique

    + Assist with retracting of tissue and organs, and suctioning by holding the retracting

    + Assure appropriate equipment and supplies are available for each procedure

    + Perform surgical counts with the RN according to policy and procedure

    + Prepare the operating room for assigned surgical procedures with proper instrumentation and sterilization

     

    We are offering a $10,000 sign on bonus in addition to relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

    Qualifications

    + High School Diploma/GED

    + Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CST/CSFA) required as of September 1, 2010 or "grandfathered" CSH employees or LVN

    + BLS Certification Required

    + Two (2) years of experience

    Overview

     

    The Woodlands Hospital a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women’s services, neurosciences, pediatric care and surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorders.

    Pay Range

    $26.76 - $39.81 /hour
