    Opportunity Overview

     

    Teradyne’s Solution Engineering Group (SEG) is seeking an experienced Field Applications Manager based in the Silicon Valley Bay Area to lead a team of field application engineers in supporting a major, world-class customer. This role involves driving the development of customer device test solutions in close collaboration with both the customer and Teradyne’s cross-functional, cross-regional teams.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Lead a team of application engineers to support a major customer, ensuring high-quality technical engagement and satisfaction.

    + Oversee the development and delivery of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) test solutions for customer devices.

    + Strategically manage team resources and allocations to meet diverse customer needs, project development and production support.

    + Collaborate closely with global teams, such as sales, applications, and services, to coordinate customer support and ensure seamless project execution.

    + Supervise and mentor application engineers and team leads, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.

    + Build and maintain strong customer relationships to gain customer trust and drive expansion of Teradyne’s market share.

    + Partner with Teradyne’s factory marketing and engineering teams to promote products and solutions that address evolving customer needs and enhance performance and efficiency.

    + Contribute to Teradyne’s new product development by gathering customer requirements and supporting product definition and engineering efforts.

    + Bachelor or higher degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field OR equivalent experience.

    + 8+ years ATE experience in developing test solutions for digital and mixed-signal devices. RF solution development experience is a plus.

    + Demonstrated success in project management, with a proven track record of leading project development and delivery.

    + Experience in team management, coordination with cross-regional cross-functional teams.

    + Experience in customer engagement and customer relationship building.

    + Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, able to inspire teamwork and “can-do” spirit.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop and deliver clear and effective presentations on complex topics.

    + Thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment and performs well under high pressure with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

    + Domestic and international travel up to 25%.

    Compensation:

    The base salary range for this role is $168,000-$268,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

     

    Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
