    Join Our Team: Chronic RN & Patient Care Technician (PCT) Opportunities

    **Department:** Chronic Hemodialysis

     

    Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients with End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD)? We’re hiring dedicated healthcare professionals to join our collaborative and compassionate team.

     

    Chronic Registered Nurse (RN)

    Purpose & Scope:

    As a Chronic RN, you’ll be responsible for delivering and coordinating clinically competent care for patients undergoing hemodialysis. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care, while also mentoring and guiding other care staff.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform patient assessments and document treatment plans

    + Administer medications and respond to emergencies

    + Educate patients and families on treatment options

    + Lead and support Patient Care Technicians and other nursing staff

    + Participate in quality improvement initiatives

    Qualifications:

    + Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

    + Current RN license in the state of VA

    + CPR BLS Certification

    + Minimum 1 year of nephrology nursing experience (within last 2 years)

    + At least 3 months of chronic/acute hemodialysis experience

    Physical Requirements:

    + Ability to lift/move patients and equipment (up to 200 lbs with assistance)

    + Standing and bending for prolonged periods

    + Exposure to infectious materials and hospital environment

     

    Patient Care Technician (PCT)

    Purpose & Scope:

    As a PCT, you’ll provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You’ll play a vital role in monitoring dialysis treatments, documenting patient data, and responding to emergencies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Assist with pre- and post-dialysis assessments

    + Monitor and document treatment parameters

    + Support emergency procedures and initiate CPR if needed

    + Communicate changes in patient condition to nursing staff

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or GED

    + Completion of hemodialysis training course

    + CPR Certification

    + Previous patient care experience preferred but not required
