    Job Title: Formulation Chemist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented entry-level formulation chemist to join our team. This entry-level position is designed to support and enhance the overall productivity of our laboratory. The role involves specialized activities in advanced testing, specification testing, quality assurance investigation, and scale-up support.

    Responsibilities

    + Utilize advanced analytical equipment for characterization and problem-solving.

    + Evaluate coating systems to specifications or other test requirements using ASTM or other test methods.

    + Prepare and test samples to support customer complaint investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

    + Assist in the scale-up activities of new or difficult-to-manufacture formulations in the plant.

    + Ensure compliance with all record-keeping and documentation requirements supporting laboratory activities.

    + Provide technical assistance to internal departments and customers.

    + Maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.

    + Experience in scale-up and formulation.

    + Prior chemical testing experience.

    + Physical testing experience (corrosion/weathering).

    + Salt/humidity testing experience.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Quality control and assurance knowledge.

    + Laboratory and analytical chemistry skills.

    + Experience with titration, inspection, and wet chemistry.

    + Data entry proficiency.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.
