Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Machinist with strong **manual machine operation** experience and **TIG welding** expertise. The Machinist will set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts, ensuring precision, quality, and reliability in all production processes.
Key Responsibilities
+ Operate **manual machines** (mills, lathes, grinders, shapers, etc.) to produce precision parts
+ Perform **TIG welding** on various parts and assemblies as required
+ Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine machining requirements
+ Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on materials/workpieces
+ Select, align, and secure fixtures, tools, and materials on machines
+ Set machine controls for speed, feed, coolant flow, and cutting depth, or input CNC programming data
+ Operate machines, monitor for malfunctions, and make adjustments as necessary
+ Verify finished workpieces meet specifications and quality standards
+ Assemble machined parts, ensuring accuracy and alignment
+ Install and test replacement parts in machinery and equipment
+ Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and production personnel to resolve machining or assembly issues
+ Participate in on-call rotation
Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED required
+ Certificate from technical school OR 6–12 months of related machining experience/training (or equivalent combination)
+ **Hands-on experience with TIG welding** (required)
+ **Strong background in manual machine operation**
+ Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and machine control programming
+ Mechanical/technical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills
+ Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Physical Requirements
+ Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and lift regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally)
+ Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, and outdoor conditions
+ Must be able to work in moderate to high-noise environments
**Pay Details:** $26.00 to $38.00 per hour
