    Robert Half Legal (El Segundo, CA)


    Description

    Our law firm based in El Segundo is seeking a contract Legal Secretary to support litigation attorneys. This is a 40 hours/week contract opportunity (M-F 8:30am - 5:30pm) with a hybrid schedule (2 days onsite in El Segundo, 3 days remote). This opportunity is an ongoing assignment with the potential to extend or convert to full-time.

    Job Responsibilities:

    - Provide litigation support for Jason Stone and team attorneys.

     

    - Manage calendars and deadlines using Clio (critical function).

     

    - Handle state e-filing and attorney service requests through firm portal.

     

    - Schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings.

     

    - Draft and prepare shells, correspondence, and legal documents.

    Requirements

    Must-Have Qualifications:

    - 3+ years of litigation experience in a law firm setting.

     

    - Strong calendaring and case management skills (Clio experience preferred).

     

    - Proficiency with e-filing in state courts.

     

    - Ability to handle high-volume, fast-paced trial preparation.

     

    - Excellent organizational and communication skills.

    Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

    - Familiarity with Google Workspace, MS Office, Adobe Pro, Dropbox, and Westlaw.

     

    - Experience billing time (paralegal/legal secretary billable hours).

     

    - Prior experience supporting multiple attorneys in trial-heavy environments.
