General Production Worker - Lisle, IL

2nd Shift 2 PM to 10:30 PM

Job Description

Join our team as a General Production Worker on the 2nd Shift from 2 PM to 10:30 PM. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient production of high-quality printing ink, involving tasks such as weighing materials, operating mixers, and cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

+ Batchweigher: Weigh batches as planned, ensure batch tickets are followed, and communicate any discrepancies. Select and clean mixing tubs, check raw material inventories, and document all figures and lot numbers. Sign batch tickets and move finished batches to the proper area.

+ Mixer Operator: Mix batches of ink according to schedule, deliver quality samples to QC, and maintain mixers. Notify supervisors of mechanical defects and possess knowledge of all production materials.

+ Pump Operator: Operate pumps understanding pressure differentials, filter ink with necessary bags and cartridges, and ensure all figures and weights are documented on batch tickets.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs

+ 6 months of experience in production with ink/paints

+ Experience in batch mixing, machine operation, and weighing materials

Work Environment

The position is set in a manufacturing environment with a faint ink smell. The plant is very clean, and while masks are not necessary, maintaining a clean and safe workspace is a priority.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
