Job Title: Machine Operator and Quality Control Specialist
Job Description
Join a leading global engineering, manufacturing, and servicing company that specializes in heavy industrial power and control systems. We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator and Quality Control Specialist to ensure the precision and quality of our operations.
$24-$28/hr
1st Shift
6:00AM - 2:30PM
Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
+ Perform lathe work using horizontal engine lathes.
+ Utilize measuring devices and techniques to ensure proper sizing, taking precise measurements with tape measures, dial calipers, and micrometers.
+ Inspect materials and parts to ensure quality standards are met.
+ Properly mark parts, take photos, and complete documentation on iPad to ensure accurate job completion that meets company and ISO standards.
+ Record data to produce expected service or design results, including sizing and illustrations.
+ Understand materials and their applications to complete job requirements.
+ Use various hand-held and stationary power and non-power tools, including but not limited to band saws, belt sanders, hand grinders, and files.
+ Lift, tighten, adjust, and secure heavy objects, observing safety precautions.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 2 to 3 years of machinist experience.
+ Proficiency with calipers and micrometers.
+ Experience in quality inspection with machining.
+ Knowledge of general production and machine operation.
+ Ability to use tape measures, hand and power tools, and machine operating equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with manual machining, manual lathe, and manual mill.
+ Familiarity with mechanical repair and blueprint reading.
Work Environment
Work in a non-climate-controlled environment during first shift hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The role requires handling heavy objects and using various tools to complete tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Longview, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
