    Quality Inspector (CMM Operator)

    + 1st shift

    Job Description

    Join our team as an Inspector/CMM Operator, working on the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm, with occasional Saturdays as needed. You will be responsible for operating CMM inspection programs within the Quality Department, ensuring procedural compliance, resolving quality-related issues, generating reports, tracking data, and recommending process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and run CMM programs to verify machined parts against engineering requirements.

    + Perform both CMM and bench inspections as needed.

    + Review job-related materials and process documentation to confirm accuracy and completeness.

    + Complete AS9102 first article inspection reports from CMM results into Net Inspect.

    + Collaborate with all departments to improve product quality.

    + Assist production in translating results.

    + Maintain cleanliness of CMM and CMM room.

    + Perform additional duties as directed by the quality manager and vice president.

    + Maintain documentation and control of non-conformance products if required.

    Essential Skills

    + Three to five years’ experience operating CMMs.

    + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

    + Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

    + Ability to complete inspections ensuring parts meet required tolerances.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + CMM operation and/or machine shop inspection training.

    + Blueprint reading and interpretation experience.

    + GD&T experience.

    + NCR creation knowledge.

    + Training provided for Rockwell and Conductivity tests, FAI's, and the PMC's NCR system.

    + Experience with Rockwell hardness and conductivity equipment.

    + Preferred experience with the person and PCDMIS software.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a manufacturing setting where the employee will encounter a shop environment. Occasionally, there may be exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and the risk of electrical shock. The noise level is moderately loud, and appropriate safety gear such as eye and hearing protection may be required.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
