    Role Overview

     

    Kodak is looking for a Group Leader to join the Finishing team in Kodak’s Advanced Materials and Chemicals Division in Rochester, NY. In this position you will work in a great environment with a bright future. The Group Leader is the lead person for a specific area in Finishing and works closely with the area supervisor on staffing and training issues, and coordinates people, materials, and machines to produce Finishing orders to fulfill customer requests. The responsibilities of this position are currently fulfilled on an 8-hour, A shift position.

    As a Group Leader you will:

    • Schedule daily labor to cover jobs required to produce orders

    • Become proficient in SAP software including troubleshooting and deployment

    • Be able to work with areas outside of Finishing such as Planning, Shipping, Film Sensitizing, etc.

    • Be self-directed and plan/execute work in order to meet production needs in a timely manner

    • Work to maintain flexibility to meet changing needs of the Finishing business

    • Maintain training paperwork for employees who are learning new skills within their Zone

    • Perform daily confirmation checks within their Zone to assure conditions are in control

    • Attend daily production, quality, and other meetings as required

    Requirements:

    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

    • Strong people skills to help with daily interaction of both Kodak employees and contractors

    • Strong basic math skills to determine progress and needs for incoming film orders

    • Working knowledge of the Finishing business

    • Strong problem-solving skills

    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel with the ability and desire to learn new functions

    • Must have ability to work well in fast paced and sometimes stressful situations

    • Position requires walking, standing, and occasional lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, and bending

    • Occasionally will need to lift up to 40 pounds

    • Must have the ability to obtain a PIT license
