Other Compensation Information:

Weekend differential: A $2.00 per hour weekend differential is paid to associates for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

Year End Bonus:

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.

Required Qualifications:

+ high school diploma or its equivalent

+ knowledge of the operations of a parts room

+ be at least 20 years old

+ ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time

+ a valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle (on or before his or her start date in the position)

+ ability to obtain certification and operate powered industrial

+ ability to lift a minimum of 65 pounds

+ successfully complete the following tests (before his or her start date in the position)

+ Computation

+ Following Written Directions and

+ Visual Speed and Accuracy

+ working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

+ capable of generating and processing work on a computerized maintenance-management system

+ ability to read, write and solve math problems

+ ability to read and interpret schematics, and technical and parts manuals

+ ability to multi-task and work independently with little or no supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

+ current Industrial Maintenance associate

+ Associate’s degree in Business

+ 3 years of prior experience in an industrial parts room environment or inventory related experience

+ knowledge of the operation of a parts room in an industrial setting

+ knowledge of basic accounting principles and statistical data analysis
