Position Description:
Performs coordinative work in the business or administrative operation of a specific department or college. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a department as well as monitoring operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise staff or student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions:
+ Provide business support for the departments, including reconciliation of multiple accounts, procurement card, and travel card transactions.
+ Create, maintain, and interpret regular and ad hoc budget and expense reports to support departmental decision-making.
+ Responsible for ordering supplies, coordinating event catering, working with vendors, and processing purchase orders.
+ Coordinate all travel-related functions, including preparing travel applications and vouchers for staff and program participants, and arranging reservations in accordance with university and grant policies.
+ Process hiring documentation for departments and assist with onboarding and exit procedures.
+ Support academic and departmental activities, including orientations, workshops, and special events.

Preferred Qualifications:
+ Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to demonstrate skills will be tested.
+ Ability to develop, interpret, and present financial reports clearly and accurately.
+ Capacity to learn and apply federal grant requirements, including relevant Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs).
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
+ Experience with Texas Tech systems such as Banner, Cognos Reporting, and TechBuy.
