_POSITION SUMMARY:_
The Golf Social Media Specialist will work closely with the Director of Golf Sales & Marketing and greater marketing team to oversee content and community care for our social and digital media channels with the goal of building a strong online brand for our golf courses. This role will also help us oversee admin details for marketing efforts for the golf courses. The successful candidate will coordinate online community dialogue and content creation that supports the strategic marketing and communications goals to help attract, inform and engage stakeholders (clients, partners, team members, volunteers, media, and job seekers) via social channels and other forms of digital communication.
_ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:_
+ Plan, create and execute ongoing community strategies to advance Big Cedar Hospitality’s mission online with the goal of spreading core stories (including positive reviews, testimonials, and influential content) and foster an enthusiastic and passionate community to support Big Cedar Lodge, Top of the Rock, Angler’s Lodge, and other outlets. Propose new strategies to promote engagement within golf and community growth.
+ Interact with online community members in a professional, personable and timely manner to grow and maintain audiences.
+ Manage customer response templates and deploy social listening tools within Emplifi to monitor positive/negative comments and topic trends.
+ Generate reports on overall community sentiment and notable trends and provide meaningful feedback.
+ Partner with in-house and third-party partners to create/capture photo and video assets for use on social channels. Collaborate with Creative Services & Digital Content Manager, Assistant Director of Digital Marketing and Director of Marketing on execution.
+ Generate, edit, publish, schedule and share engaging content daily (original copy, photos, videos, and news). Including but not limited to capturing content of Big Cedar special events, holiday festivities, and other unique offerings.
+ Plan and maintain outward appearance of social media channels (i.e. descriptions, highlights, cover photos, link in bios, etc.) and develop familiarization with following lists for appropriate engagement and outreach
+ Research, communicate, coordinate and foster relationships with social media influencers for property visits.
+ Partner with the Assistant Director of Digital Marketing on development and execution of paid digital campaigns.
+ Assist in monitoring when notable guests are on property for content opportunities.
+ Coordinate social responses, social media review responses, and messaging with key partners including the Assistant Director of Digital Marketing, Guest Services, and Operations Communication Specialists.
+ Find and participate in relevant discussions within social media groups and related industry channels and seek out and utilize high-quality User Generated Content.
+ All other duties as assigned
_EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:_
+ Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
+ 2 years’ experience in marketing, communications, advertising or administrative positions in a hospitality setting preferred
_KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:_
+ Ability to think creatively, analytically, critically, and be highly driven and self-motivated. Demonstrate originality.
+ Intermediate/Advanced Computer Skills
+ Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
+ Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
+ Ability to perform as a strong team player at both a local and executive level

_PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:_
Regularly walks, sits, stands and does computer work.
Seldom/Never lifts up to 50 lbs.
**_INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT_** :
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
