Amergis is hiring a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students in the Madison area for the 2025–2026 school year.

Open Positions

+ Full-Time – High School

Caseload

+ Approximately 13–15 cross-categorical students

+ Provide targeted instruction and support across multiple disability categories

Key Responsibilities

+ Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student on your caseload

+ Deliver differentiated instruction to meet academic, social, and behavioral goals

+ Conduct formal and informal assessments to track progress and adjust instruction

+ Collaborate with general education teachers to co-plan and co-teach lessons

+ Coordinate with families, administrators, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support

+ Manage behavior plans and implement positive behavior interventions

+ Monitor and report on student growth, maintaining accurate documentation and compliance

Position Details

+ Schedule: August 2025 – June 2026

+ Compensation: $40–$45/hour, based on experience

+ Location: Greater Madison area

Ideal Candidates

+ Hold a valid Wisconsin DPI license in Special Education

+ Bring experience or strong interest in cross-categorical instruction

+ Value inclusive education and individualized student support

+ Thrive in team-oriented, student-centered environments

+ Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail
