Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Detox & Psychiatric Facility | Tampa, FL

The Amergis Tampa Office is currently hiring dedicated LPNs to join our team at a behavioral health and detox facility.

Position Details:

+ Pay: $31/hour

+ Experience Required: Recent experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, psychiatric, or corrections nursing

+ Schedule Options: Full-Time / Part-Time / PRN positions

+ Shifts Available: Days and Nights (12-hour shifts)

+ Compensation: Weekly pay

Position Summary:

+ As an LPN, you will play a critical role in supporting the emotional, behavioral, and physical well-being of clients. You’ll work closely with: Medical Director, RN supervisor, Behavioral Health Technicians, Psychologists/Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Case Managers, Counselors and more.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions

+ Conduct health assessments and document clinical observations

+ Support clients through withdrawal symptoms and psychiatric episodes

+ Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff on treatment plans

+ Respond to medical and behavioral crises with professionalism and care

+ Maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA and facility protocols

+ Foster a respectful, recovery-oriented environment

Qualifications:

+ Active LPN license in Florida

+ Experience in behavioral health, detox, or psychiatric nursing preferred

+ CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

+ Strong communication and documentation skills

+ Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
