    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Application Development Coordinator role is to help plan and coordinate activities related to requirement gathering, system deployments, testing of application updates and patches, and cross department integration to build guest accessible project configurators called “Design and Buys” and Midwest Desktop applications.

     

    The Application Developer Coordinator is responsible for managing and supporting the application build and release process across multiple environments. This role ensures smooth coordination between Business, IS, and development teams to plan, schedule, and execute application releases. The coordinator oversees the promotion of code through environments, manages release notes, and helps maintain build pipelines and automated testing integration. By facilitating cross-department communication and aligning release activities with organizational priorities, the Application Developer Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring reliable and timely delivery of application solutions.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    * Development & Support:

    + Dev Ops to update and maintain the build process.

    + Creation of release implementation plans.

    + Build code release packages and promotion through all environments (Dev, Stage, QA & Production).

    + Work with the Business and IS on planning and timing of releases and completion of deliverables.

    + Creation, management, and publication of release notes.

    + Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers.

    + Coordinate in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.

    + Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.

    + Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards

    Skills/Requirements

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    + Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a Computer Science, Computer Programming or MIS related field OR Equivalent work experience

    + Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in IS

    + Excellent object-oriented analysis and design skills

    + Excellent interpersonal skills; customer service skills; organizational skills; and verbal and written communication skills

    + Excellent analytical skills for problem determination and resolution

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities

    + Ability to work independently as well as cooperate with others

    + Ability to learn new technologies like Bamboo or Jenkins
