    **Sodexo's Campus Segment** is seeking an **Executive Chef 2** to lead the **Catering Department** at **Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI)** , a private research university in Troy, NY. This role requires a hands-on culinarian with strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to deliver both **high-volume production and elevated, VIP-level cuisine.** The Executive Chef will oversee all on- and off-campus catering operations, collaborate with campus partners, and ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.

    What You'll Do

    + Lead the **culinary operations** for all catering events, from large-scale productions to intimate, high-end dinners.

    + **Design and execute custom menus** that reflect creativity, quality, and precision.

    + Manage **purchasing, inventory, food cost analysis, and production forecasting** .

    + Ensure compliance with **Sodexo culinary standards** , recipes, and food quality expectations.

    + Oversee **food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety** standards.

    + Develop, train, and motivate the culinary team to achieve excellence and embrace innovation.

    + Partner in **menu planning, labor scheduling, and marketing initiatives** .

    + Provide an exceptional customer service experience to students, faculty, and VIP guests.

    Qualifications & Requirements

     

    Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

     

    Minimum Management Experience - 2 years

     

    Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
