    About the role:

    Providing our clients with exceptional service is the foundation of our business. The Director of Sales position is an important part of the organization at Veritext and will be responsible for providing essential support to the Account Executives. The Director of Sales will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a strong desire to succeed and the ability to leverage legal experience to manage and grow the business. The Director of Sales will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the assigned market(s). Staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the assigned market(s) and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for clients and Account Executives.

    What you'll get to do:

    + Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the markets that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.

    + Responsibility for the performance and development of the Account Executives.

    + Prepare action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.

    + Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets

    + Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.

    + Conducts one-on-one review with all Account Executives to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Account Executive’s sales and activity performance.

    + Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.

    + Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.

    + Maintain accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by Account Executives.

    + Create and conduct proposal presentations and RFP responses.

    + Assist Account Executives in preparation of proposals and presentations.

    + Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.

    + Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

    + Interview and hire Account Executives based on criteria agreed upon by senior management.

    + Provide support to regional account executives for sales and marketing efforts, including coordination of Trade Shows, catering, networking events and sponsorships.

    + Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

    + Assisting the Head of Sales in development of contests, blitzes, projects and other activities that help drive the sales process.

    + Administration of systems that support the sales process (Salesforce.com, Vision, etc.)

    + Other duties as assigned.

    The kind of leader we are looking for:

    + Bachelor's degree and/or five years of work/leadership experience required

    + Knowledge of legal services industry, not required, but certainly a benefit.

    + Support the clients and resolve issues that arise.

    + Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    + Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills; able to respond promptly to client needs, follow through and resolve issues in a pleasant and helpful manner.

    + Detail oriented, organized and dedicated professional.

    + Computer skills including knowledge of Excel and MS Outlook.

    + Detail-oriented and accurate, ability to work well under pressure.

    + Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and interact effectively.
