Description
The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will be a key resource supporting project financial management-related systems/modules, including project costing, revenue, billing, accounts receivable, general ledger, and project forecasting. This role will lead solution ideation, as well as the design, testing, and implementation of system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations, while developing reports and solutions that drive efficiency and accuracy in project financial management. The role will partner with Accounting and Information Technology teams to ensure that business processes are aligned with system functionality. Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead the design, configuration, and testing of system enhancements, upgrades, and new functionality.
+ Analyze, design, and present custom reports, dashboards, and SQL queries.
+ Partner with business stakeholders to gather and document functional requirements and translate them into effective system solutions.
+ Lead the development and execution of test scripts for new releases and enhancements, ensuring quality and accuracy.
+ Deliver training and knowledge transfer to end-users and other analysts.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in collaboration with IT developers and business teams, particularly during critical periods such as month-end and year-end close.
+ Provide business insights and recommendations through data analysis.
+ Build effective relationships with internal clients, customers, and contractors.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate integration across systems.
+ Mentor and guide team members, supporting process improvements and knowledge growth.
+ Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and QA/QC procedures.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; emphasis in Information Systems strongly preferred.
+ Minimum of 8 years of experience working with financial systems, including leading or participating in system implementations and enhancements.
+ Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Oracle E-Business Suite or similar); experience with SQL and report development preferred.
+ Strong ability to analyze complex issues, troubleshoot independently, and deliver effective solutions.
+ Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business productivity tools.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
+ Highly self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
