    This is a hybrid position. The work for this role is remote, but there are occasional meetings and events that will require onsite presence.

     

    Join the Corewell Health team as a Medical Professional Services Coordinator Associate and play a critical role in ensuring our patients receive care from the most qualified and credentialed physicians. In this pivotal position, you will be at the forefront of maintaining the highest standards for our medical staff by collecting, verify, and analyzing vital information such as education, licenses, and certifications. Your keen eye for detail, and commitment to accuracy will help identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with credentialing requirements.     Job Summary

    Coordinates credentialing services for Corewell Health. Provides administrative support through the appropriate use of software and/or other tools. Exhibits initiative and knowledge to assure operations carry on in the usual manner in management's absence.

    Essential Functions

    + Coordinates the credentialing of physicians at Corewell Health by collecting and verifying information as required.

    + Reports various activities monthly to the Credentialing Committee for review and recommendation to the Finance Committee and Board.

    + Assists physicians with privileging problems.

    + Utilizes the appropriate software applications to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of office workload.

    + Greets and communicates in a manner consistent with caring and respect and follows established policies for confidentiality. Answers telephone, takes messages, welcomes visitors and provides/relays information in a manner consistent with hospitality standards.

    + Composes documents and independently formats, types and proofreads correspondence, memos, reports, charts, statistics, meeting minutes, newsletters, etc.

    + Performs/coordinates basic office duties such as copying, filing, faxing, completing forms, and ordering/maintaining equipment/supplies.

    + Collects, compiles, and prepares data for analysis and develops systems that facilitate tracking of data. Manipulates data to develop unique reports to meet special requests and reviews reports/data to determine accuracy.

    Qualifications

    Required

    + High School Diploma or equivalent

    + Skills/knowledge/abilities typically gained through less than 2 years of experience in a related field

     

    Preferred

     

    + Associates Degree in a related field
