    Summary

    The Billing Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant billing operations. This position is responsible for analyzing billing data, managing purchase orders and client portals, and leading the invoice process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working cross-functionally to support financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Monitors discrepancies and implements process improvements to enhance billing efficiency and accuracy.

     

    This position will support our Finance team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. This position is based out of our North Dallas office location in Dallas, TX.

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

     

    + Ensures timely, accurate and complete billing of various lines of business. This includes invoicing various complexities of invoices from systems and departments

    + Ensure billing and/or variance analysis is performed timely and provided to internal customers

    + Resolve invoicing discrepancies and implement improvements to enhance billing processes

    + Collaborating with IT or finance teams to implement system changes

    + Manage the final invoicing process by reviewing and validating billing data for accuracy and completeness, ensuring alignment with client contracts and internal policies

    + Oversee the management of purchase orders, including tracking and reconciliation

    + Maintain and navigate client portals to ensure accurate documentation and billing alignment

    + Collaborate with internal and external customers to resolve PO-related issues and ensure timely processing

    + Provide support for special projects and initiatives related to billing and revenue operations

    + Collaborate closely with Project and Finance Accountants to align billing activities with project milestones, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely revenue recognition

    + Adapt to evolving business needs by taking on additional responsibilities and projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting departmental goals

    + Demonstrate a collaborative mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service

    + Work with Accounts Receivable to reconcile client accounts and ensure timely application of payments and billing adjustments

     

    Education & Experience

     

    + 3-5 years previous billing and reporting experience

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four year college or university is required

    + Advanced knowledge of Excel

    + SAP experience preferred

    + NetSuite experience preferred

    + Ad-hoc reporting experience
