• Shipping and Receiving Support

    NY CREATES (Albany, NY)


    Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    + Support shipments and deliveries for entire campus as required.

    + Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments. Reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper; receive and process all defective parts returned for replacement or credit; maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies as needed.

    + Position may require extensive outside work.

    + Comply with all DOT and IATA regulations. Comply with Department of Homeland Security requirements.

    + Have experience with computer systems to include Microsoft Office products, i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel

    + Will be required to learn, understand and perform the duties of the mail center

    + Other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor

    Job Requirements:

    This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.

     

    + Minimum three years relevant experience as well as high school diploma or equivalent.

    + Able to lift up to 50 lb. containers safely and efficiently.

    + Able to stand for the majority of the shift.

    + Strong customer service, especially when working on confidential matters.

    + Requirement to undergo background check.

    + Familiarity with computer and Microsoft programs.

    Salary Range: $21.50-$22.50/ hour
