    Description

    The primary function of this position is to be the point of contact for customers placing wholesale orders via phone orother channels. You will provide excellent service, ensure order accuracy, and use your product knowledge to up-sell andrecommend alternatives when necessary. Your goal is to enhance customer experience while supporting smoothmarketplace operations.

     

    The Marketplace Customer Service must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below. Therequirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

    + Greet and assist customers in-store and over the phone with purchases, product inquiries, and order placement.

    + Guide customers to locate items and suggest alternatives or complementary products (up-selling and crossselling).

    + Take and process wholesale phone orders, including checking for stock availability and offering substitutions if

    + needed.

    + Review and confirm customer orders for accuracy before they are picked up or processed.

    + Resolve customer issues, complaints, and returns professionally and efficiently.

    + Operate cash registers, scanners, scales, and payment processing systems.

    + Accept and process various forms of payment (cash, credit, debit).

    + Build and maintain strong relationships with repeat customers and key wholesale accounts.

    + Balance the cash register at the end of shifts and generate reports for management.

    + Maintain working knowledge of all marketplace products, prices, and promotions.

    + Log customer orders, feedback, and issues using internal systems.

    + Support team members with other duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications

    Education/Training

    + Must be able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety requirements

    + Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

    + Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a wholesale, retail, or marketplace environment.

     

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

     

    + Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with a professional and friendly demeanor.

    + Ability to handle a high volume of calls and multitask effectively.

    + Able to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fast-paced environment.

    + Must be able to work as a team and individually.

    + Must adhere to all safety practices and company policies

     

    Physical Requirements:The physical requirements described here are representative of those required of an employee tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of this job.

     

    + Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and climb for prolonged periods of time.

    + Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.

    + Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, balance, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit.

    + Regularly required to push/pull/lift/carry and/or move up to 40 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move between 41 and 50 pounds, and seldom lift and/or move 51 pounds and up to 100 pounds.

    + Comfortable working in varying conditions (cold storage, rooftop units, confined spaces, etc.).

    General Requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age.

    + Must successfully pass a controlled substance screening test.

    + Must adhere to all safety practices and company policies.

    + This is a full-time position. Must be able to work Monday-Friday, as well as weekends as needed. Work hours may vary, or change based on departmental requirements.

     

    Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, Marketplace Customer Service Rep will constantly work near poweredindustrial equipment and experience exposure to vibration and moderate to high noise levels. The work environmentincludes congested and high traffic areas, slippery floors, working alongside forklifts, single pallet jacks, electric walkbehind jacks and hand carts. Walking and working on concrete flooring. Duties will require working in Varying climates.
