Description: The Quality Engineer ensures the repair station activities are compliant to Customer, Regulatory and Industry Certifications (i.e. AS9100. ISO 9000 and EASA) What you will be responsible for: Performs on-site audits of poor performing vendors, as required Performs on-site audits of new vendors, as required Performs source inspections, as required Responds to customer supplier surveys; research customer specs to ensure compliance with NADCAP and AS9100 Provides oversight and assistance with Operations, Engineering and Purchasing in addressing vendor improvement requirements Plans, Develops and executes the audit schedule to assure that all appropriate aspects of AS9100 are being reviewed, trains auditors Supports the review and release of QMS procedures to assure compliance to AS9100 Assure record retention requirements of audits and corrective actions are maintained in compliance with record retention policies and regulations
Qualifications:
What you will need to be successful in this role: Preferred Associates or Bachelors degree or 5 years Quality Engineer, Quality Analyst or Quality Auditor to AS9100, ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, AS9100 Lead Auditor, NADCAP Certified Auditor, Certified CQA or equivalent Thorough Knowledge of: FAA regulations, ISO 9001:2008, AS9100 and AS9110 Quality Management Standards RAB QSA certified Lead Auditor preferred Government and industry quality assurance codes and standards MS Office (Power Point, Excel, Word) Ability to learn industry-related software, as well as read and interpret blueprints, process sheets, and regulatory requirements Qualified to: Meet the requirements of 14CFR145 subpart D, paragraphs 145.155, (Inspection Personnel Requirements) The rewards of your career at AAR go far beyond just your salary: Competitive salary and bonus package Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage. 401(k) retirement plan with company match Generous paid time off program Professional development and career advancement opportunities Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
