    Job Summary

    • Why This Role Matters

     

    As the ROI Supervisor, you’ll lead a team of Specialists and Technicians dedicated to ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and compliance of patient health records. You’ll play a critical role in supporting patient care by driving accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to regulations across the Release of Information function.

     

    What You’ll Do

     

    + Location: onsite requirement approximately four times annually between Charlotte & Winston-Salem, NC.

     

    Schedule: Monday - Friday, flexible work hours, overtime as needed.

     

    + Lead and support the release of information team by overseeing ongoing quality, productivity and efficiency.

    + Assist with planning, and direction of the HIM release of information workflows.

    + Work in conjunction with the other departments, agencies and Novant Health Privacy office.

    + Onboard, train, and coach new team members while fostering engagement and accountability.

    + Enforce policies, address performance issues, and promote a positive, inclusive, and productive work culture.

     

    What You’ll Need

    Required:

    + RHIA or RHIT licensure.

    + Associate Degree.

    + 1 year of supervisory experience with RHIA credentials, or 2+ years with RHIT credentials.

    + 1 year of experience in a healthcare related field such as acute hospital, Q10, Fiscal Intermediary, or CMS.

    + Experience working in medical records with notable accomplishments and/or record of successful progression in responsibilities.

    + Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.

    Preferred:

    + Bachelors Degree.

    + Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS) licensure.

    + A track record of positive team member engagement and advanced experience with Microsoft Suite technology.
