• Develop and drive strategic projects and products to meet customer requirements.
• Manage the product lifecycle process.

• Assist the sales team in developing value-selling technics allowing them to present commercial offerings that have a clear return for customers and compelling value stories.
• Establish creative proposal concepts and specific incentives.
• Proactively lead collaboration with other departments: Advanced Rail Technology, Aftermarket Services, Sales to align locomotive commercial strategy and future product development.
• Identify key growth programs targeting installed fleet to be sold across our customer base.
• Target reliability improvement initiatives with a positive value proposition for our customer base.
• Lead collaborative sales workshop sessions.
• Contribute to competitive analysis and identify gaps and opportunities.
• Research and understand emerging customer behaviors and technologies that may impact Progress Rail locomotive business.
• Provide higher level engagement with railroad network operations, transportation, and IT to develop relationships and drive customer value strategies that go beyond traditional touch points.
• Coordination of five-year locomotive and services sales forecast.
• Collect and manage competitive intelligence for markets.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.

Qualifications and Experience:
• 5-7+ years of rail or relevant experience.
• Strong project management skills (planning, budgeting, and managing).
• 5-7+ years of demonstrated product management skills within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Proven interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Strong knowledge of Progress Rail products and services.
• Strong industry experience in locomotive and locomotive technologies.
• Strong understanding of the competitive locomotive environment in which the customers operate.
Travel
• Ability to travel internationally up to 30% to meet customers, join sales interactions, and participate in trade shows.
Essential and Physical Activities Functions
• Strength – Position typically involves office managerial work as well as oversight in an industrial environment. Frequent standing, sitting, and walking. Occasional light to medium-level lifting (up to 30 pounds)
• Motion – Position regularly requires standard motions associated with an office environment as well as standard motions associated with leading and demonstrating in an industrial environment.
• Vision/Hearing Requirements – Constant verbal communications, including both talking and hearing.
• Work Environment – Position will occasionally require the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Position may involve work in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Position is located in an industrial environment, including occasional exposure to noise (85+ decibels), occasional exposure to temperature changes, and other hazardous working conditions.
• Emotional Demands – Very high level of responsibility. Must be able to coordinate diverse aspects of a project. Requires significant interpersonal skills while sustaining very high standards.
• Safety – Position will occasionally require the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
