Job Description:

*Highland Hospital is seeking a Director of Facilities Management. This newly created role will have oversight over a number of Highland's Maintenance, Plant Operations, Planning/Project Management, Environment of Care/Life Safety and Fire Safety Departments. Highland has a number of exciting projects ahead, so we're looking for an enthusiastic, operations driven leaders.

Some duties include but are not limited to:

The Director of Facilities Management will be responsible for supporting Highland Hospital’s strategic objectives by. directing the overall operations of the maintenance, plant operations and planning/project management, environment of care/life safety and fire safety departments in accordance with current applicable federal, Joint Commission, state, and local requirements. The position will manage the organization’s capital portfolio as it relates to facilities planning and construction management and will direct and oversee all capital projects, major construction and renovation projects across Highland Hospital and its properties. The Director is responsible for management of organizational safety and applicable regulatory standards and will oversee and direct service, repairs, and maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the hospital.

Salary Range:

$108,000.00 - $160,482.00 annually

Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, architecture, business management or related field, or proven equivalent facilities and project management experience (within a Hospital setting preferred)

Experience: At least ten years’ experience in oversight of complex facilities operations including planning, programming, design and construction of commercial facilities (central plant operations, building controls and HVAC systems preferred), with at least five years’ experience in related supervision and/or management positions. Experience in hospital/health care setting preferred.

License/Certification Required: Valid NYS driver’s license.

Skills: Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively execute large, complex projects (healthcare preferred). Must possess exceptional leadership skills and be self-directed. Must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized and have advanced analytical, prioritizing and problem solving skills. Computer knowledge and proficiency required including Microsoft Office applications, purchasing systems/work order/construction management systems, CAD and productivity software.
